How Do I Get My Real Estate License in California?

You have to be at least 18 years old to get a real estate license in California. You also need to demonstrate truthfulness and honesty by having a clean criminal record. If you have a conviction, the California Department of Real Estate can deny your application.

The state also has an education requirement. You have to take three college-level courses. The first two are Real Estate Principles and Real Estate Practice. You can choose the third course from a list of options.
